It Starts Tomorrow
The NaNoWriMo, that is. 50,000 words in thirty days. I'm beginning to feel that this was a horrible mistake. Beginning tomorrow, you'll see a widget on the right that will track my word count. I'm doing this to keep the pressure on me, you see.

I'm still debating. Does a trashy star wars novel count?
Absolutely! The web site tells us that the important matter is finishing, not making it good. In fact, they caution us not to edit--at all--during the month, but to keep writing, no matter what.
I get the feeling that my novel will turn out a little like From Dusk Till Dawn--that started out as a gangster movie, and about half-way through suddenly became a vampire/horror movie. Hilarious. Like they got bored with writing and said, "Wouldn't it be cool to have this place turn into a vampire bar?" and Tarrantin was so high off of Pulp Fiction that nobody had the guts to tell him "no."
Only it was brilliant...I mean, why should horror movies bill themselves as horror movies? The characters are not supposed to know that they are about to be all killed, so why should we, with spooky foreshadowing and music? If you walked into a bar that turned all vampire at midnight, would someone following you around know it before it happened? Of course not. So why would the gangsters know this?
Only mine will not be brilliant and funny. Just schizophrenic garbage. But I'm doin' it anyway!
